Simon Pridham

Director

Simon has over 30 years of experience in the UK Education and Business sectors.

Most recently over the last decade up to 2023 Simon was the co-founder, owner and MD at Aspire 2Be. Aspire 2Be  became the only learning technology company in Europe who were professional development partners of Apple, Google and Microsoft. The company scaled from the two founding directors in 2013 to a team of over 25 and successfully was acquired in 2022 for a seven figure sum.

Prior to entering the business world, Simon enjoyed a successful career in the world of Education. As a Headteacher he led an outstanding Team at Casllwchwr Primary School to  seven grade one Estyn Inspection in 2010. Under Simon’s leadership it became the first school in Wales to successfully implement a 1:1 device programme in KS2 and use cloud technology to improve pedagogical delivery, community relationships as well as generic teaching and learning and professional standards.

This led to a number of exciting opportunities for Simon which included the opportunity to become a published author by writing “Freaked Out,” in 2014. The book was the first augmented reality paperback book in the world. He was also seconded by Swansea Council to design, implement and lead the LIFE Programme across the city. The award winning programme created and implemented a digital inter-generational plan across the city, culminating in winning a prestigious MJ Public Sector Award in London.

Welsh Government Education Minister Endorsement.

Finally, Simon was also seconded to become a Welsh Government Professional Digital Advisor from 2011- 2013. This meant working directly with the Minister for Education, in helping to develop a sustainable model for digital skills development across education in Wales. The role included key positions on groups such as the National Digital Learning Council, WG ICT Steering Group and National Practitioners Panel.

Simon is very excited to use his range of skills and experience to help grow Great Days Golf into a successful and sustainable company whilst also having the opportunity to enjoy his passion for golf and people.
